  Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a--Travel RN - Med/Surg - SMCCShift:--Days / 6:30a-7p, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, (will accept 48 upon request), EOHLength:--13 weeksWeekend/Holiday : 3 weekends out of every 6 week scheduleRequirements:
  • IN/compact license
  • Minimum 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience
  • 1 travel assignment
  • Trauma level II experience
  • Skillset: PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), epidural management, ostomy care, blood product administration, tele interpretation, wound care (packing, wound vacs, dressing changes), pre/post heart cath (Fem./TR bands/no interventions). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates

  • NIHSS
  • Recent Epic charting experienceOther Details:
    • Patient Population:-- --Post surgical -whipples, vascular, pre/post heart caths, bariatric, ENT, podiatry, open bellies. Dementia, AMS, CIWA/detox, q 2 hour turns, fall risks, thyroid surgeries
    • Unit Information: 41 beds.-- Ratio: Days 1:5-6; NOCs 1:6-7; CN takes a patient assignment.
    • Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs
    • Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required -- Subject to change
    • No local candidates (40 mile radius rule)
